Who spied Little Mix's Perrie in our Purple Rain crown recently? She wore our creation with the exact pieces from the outfit above for their performance on ITV's Dancing on Ice. Mad props have got to go to the girls over at Little Mix Style, their dedication to tracking down the girls' outfits from their every experience is incredible! I'm pretty sure that would've been me if the internet had been around when I was a Spice Girls fan 15 (!) years ago.

This look is brought to you by the scrumptious Paige - the little darling linked me to this dress recently with "I know you're partial to a few skulls!" And she's right, especially with my newfound love of bodycon midi dresses, this has gone straight in my wardrobe. The chunky boots and All Saints' leather add to the punk rock princess look that I seem to gravitate towards on nights' out with the girls (which I have 3 of planned for the next 2 months! Squee!)

Despite not really wearing pink and the fact that this would look like a maternity smock on me, this dress made me audibly gasp when I spotted it on Topshop.com. Paired with the crown and these sorbet-hued sandals I like to call this look Chelsea flower girl. Cute and posh at the same time.

Bristol Bloggers Meet Up - #bbmeetup

What feels like absolutely forever ago (but was in fact, only 2 weeks!) I jumped on a train to hang out, eat, and shop with a bunch of the South West's finest fashion bloggers in the beautiful city of Bristol.

Now, fblogger I ain't, but I have worked with a fair few of the girls before so when I saw the invite start flying around on twitter, I tentatively asked if I may join. "You're on the list already!" exclaimed the Meetup's organisers, Steph and Kim which was seriously lovely of them. Despite my trepidations at meeting up with such a beautiful bunch, I booked my ticket with haste!

So what the hell does one wear to meet up with some of the most fashionable ladies around? After pretty much a whole weekend of deliberation I figured I'd feel most relaxed (I'm a bit of a shy type, truth told) in something I felt comfortable in - so opted for a very, very old favourite of mine - a silk, floral print dip hem tea dress from ASOS.

Paired with my Topshop biker, New Look studded loafers and Anenome Floral Crown to pick out the blues in the dress.

So off I trotted, meeting the lovely Megan on the train and Paige and Lily at the station. A very wet schlep to Cabot Circus and we met up with the rest of the girls (and one guy!) for a mandatory Nandos. I was positioned perfectly to have a good old gossip with my new BFF Steph, and catch up with old favourites Amy and Abby.



Some of us then headed over to a super cute bowling lane for a few cocktails and more gossips before Abby, Megan, Sammy and I had to catch the train home.


I can't believe how fast the day flew by! I regret not getting nearly enough time to chat to Gemma, Kimmy and Chloe, and a bunch of other lovelies I didn't get the chance to chat to at all: Hannah, Emma, Laura, Joe and Amie.


A really lovely point to the day, though, was how quickly and generously everyone donated to the goodie bags - aside from a scarf and belt from Room 31, everything had been deonated by the attendees themselves - here's a quick snap of my goodies. What mine doesn't include is the glitter hair bows that everyone got from me - I have more than enough already!

Shop Swap! Delilah Dust Jewellery

When Antonia from Delilah Dust contacted me requesting to swap some pieces from each of our stores with a view to promoting each other, it was a happy coincidence as I'd been drooling over her jewels mere hours before.

After we swapped some ideas for our preferences (I was a bit of a diva and specifically requested silver jewellery only!) I practically squealed when I received the item that Antonia sent to me. Nicely packaged, I received some beautiful gemstone necklaces, a complimentary silver feather charm necklace and two charm bracelets.

I like to layer my new gems with a recent Tesco purchase - let's just ignore I'm wearing a jumper in July.

My 'fashion blogger pose' needs some working on so I added as many picfx layers as I could to up my cred a bit. Do you think I make the grade?!

I thought I'd show you some pieces I got in my little jaunt round the shops on Saturday! (For my fellow Frugal Feb-ers, I promise it really was last Saturday, Abbzz can vouch for that!)




The skirt made my heart-rate quicken a little when I saw it was now only £9.99. I'd been eyeing it up in black early on in the month but at £20 I wasn't so sure, especially as I seem to be gravitating away from black pieces at the moment. When I saw it in this gorgeous beige/tan colour, not only did it remind me of Brownie culottes (always a good thing) it was also a size down than at the beginning of the month! Hurrah! I'm not so hot on the belt, truth told, so will probably look to replace it with one I already own (I've got an oversized brown leather one somewhere) but love the way Zara have styled it online.



I'm forever on the search for the perfect striped top, and after a lot of deliberation as to whether or not thin or wide stripes are the most flattering, this one from New Look came in pretty close. I probably look like a string of sausages in it, but I care not. It is prettiful.




My booties are the standout from my shopping trip though, never have a pair of 4 inch heels been so comfortable! I wore them all day to work today, which includes a 40 minutes walk to and from work, and hardly a twinge! I had a lot of trouble deciding between the black, tan and cream, they're all so lovely!

Woodstock Rocks; Bib Necklace/Headband £15

Since I posted a link to this on twitter on Sunday night I've been inundated with positive comments! Thankyou so much! I've love the idea of versatile headbands and am always on the lookout for the perfect OTT bib necklace so decided to combine the two! After I spent hours on Saturday designing and making my mock-up, I proudly trotted downstairs to show my wares and...well, to be frankly honest, it was met with blank stares from my boyfriend and parents. Anti-climax, much? Still, I'm a stubborn little bugger so thought I'd persevere.

I hope you like the outfit I've chosen to go with the necklace! I thought I'd diversify from the world of polyvore; but quite frankly, you don't need to be seeing my wobbly bits so laid out it is! I quite like it, I suppose it's not very creative but definitely mixes things up a bit. The tshirt was from Zara, the skirt George at Asda and the grey brogues from Asos.

I can't believe how early the sales started this year. My birthday is in a couple of weeks, and I remember when I first started getting into clothes at 13/14, being able to take my birthday money and get some really good stuff in the sales. We went to Exeter on Thursday and half the racks were bare! Still, I did have a quick perusal in Cardiff on Monday as well so have managed to get some lovely bits.

I thought I'd start 2011 with a burst of colour; I know this is such an autumnal outfit, but I hate this time of year so need a colour injection to cheer me up! The skirt was one of my sale bargains from Next; I can't believe how good their sale was! I also got a floral jumpsuit for the summer and two pairs of shoes, all for under £50; bargain! I'll feature the other items later on, but I am so incredibly pleased with this skirt. I find it hard to find skirt that suit me; with not being entirely happy with the size of my middle, I tend to gravitate towards dresses and tunics to cover it up! But I've lost another 6lbs throughout December (quite how when I've been stuffing my face like the best of them I do not know) so though I'd push myself out of my comfort zone with this one (see, doing things that 'scare me', already; small steps!)

I'm currently scouring ebay for a vest similar to this to pair with the skirt; I never ever thought I'd see myself in mustard, but since going brunette I seem to be able to wear a lot more earthy colours so I'm just going to go with it! I point blank refuse to spend £15 on a vest though; yes, it's pretty, but I can't justify to myself paying the same for the vest as the skirt was! I'm going to be more frugal this year and more though-out with my purchases, I have so much unworn in my wardrobe. This cardigan is from Topshop, but I bought similar in the Zara sale for half the price; definitely justifiable to fuel my current obsession with maroon!

I've featured this gorgeous compass necklace by Wallpaper Rose before, but this time I actually own it! A gift from Louise, alongside some swallow wall decals and this cat brooch; which is just too funny, because I bought her the brooch for Christmas as well!

The finishing touch to this outfit are our gorgeous Bronze Beauty clips; a firm staple in my hair over recent months! Inspired by the eye of peacock feathers and dipped in bronze glitter, I've found they're the perfect finish for adding a bit of sparkle to a day outfit like this. What We Would Wear

Has anyone else noticed the distinct lack of autumnal foliage this weekend? We've had some crazy mad weather in Cornwall which unfortunately seems to have shaken the last beautiful leaves off the trees. Thankfully, we were unscathed here in Liskeard but my heart goes out to any of my Cornish fans who weren't so lucky!

In other news, Crown and Glory has gone MENTAL this week, something I am eternally grateful for! We've had a lot of blog exposure and there is a fair few discount codes knocking around, too. It's so typical to happen this week, though; I've just started my new job so haven't been able to dedicate all of my time to Crown and Glory as I would have previous! Although on the site I've said to allow 5-10 working days for each order, I've been able to make it more like 3 until now. If you've ordered something from me in the past week, order processing is likely to be around 5-7 working days plus delivery.

With both the passing of autumn and starting my new job in mind, I've gone for an employment-appropriate outfit this week! Though to be honest you'd be just as likely to find me in this down the pub these days; something about being back in Cornwall means I'm steering clear of the usual dress + heels combination for a Friday night! I am lucky enough to be able to wear jeans in my office (at least; I haven't been told not to!) and so my black Kristen high-waisted ones from Topshop have been getting some serious use. They're just so comfy! I bought some 'super skinnies' from DP last weekend that I spend my entire time having to adjust them. I love the Kristen's so much that I've just bought the indigo blue pair, pictured. I'm hoping they'll allow me to wear my navy-blue peter pan collar tunic; it was just too indecently short with tights!



The shirt is also from Topshop, as are the brogues, and for the moment they will both have to stay on my wishlist! I bought some cheapy brogues last week from New Look and have worn them all week, they're so comfy! I have a new front door to pay for, though, so a second pair of brogues in as many weeks is just not justifiable! The shirt is something I never, ever would have gone for colour wise before I dyed my hair dark, but I'm finding I'm able to wear a lot more warmer colours! Same goes for this gorgeous maroon scarf from Forever 21; the gorgeous Emma from Milkteef blogged about this today, she really is my sartorial twin because I've found myself gravitating towards maroons recently! Maybe it's something to do with Harry Potter....or that I definitely no longer remember my maroon school uniform...



An autumnal look would not be complete without our Prarie Fire headband. This is one of my favourite items at the moment, I'm wearing it all the time! One case in point was to Jimmy Eat World last weekend, and I got loads of compliments! If you would prefer this piece as a clip, just let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate :)

Kate Moss for Topshop

I'm not sure about you, but I've never been a fan of the Kate Moss for Topshop collections. Probably something to do with the fact that I've never been a huge fan of Kate Moss. Sure, I can appreciate that she's very successful at what she does but my idea of an idol is more than a mere clotheshorse. (Don't burn me at the stake!)

Dutifully though, I have a gander at the collection every time a new one comes along. As ever, the majority of the collection is, for me, unremarkable and overpriced; and some items wouldn't be out of place in Bon Marche! (I'm talking about this skirt in particular! I'm sorry, there is nothing right about that skirt!) However, and for the first time since the collaboration first took place and ditsy print floral tea dresses were hard to come by, a few items have caught my eye. They happen to tie in quite nicely with our new party wear headpieces, as well.

What We Would Wear Thursday

Sorry I'm a little late with this weeks' outfit post. I've been rushing to get ready for the Hall for Cornwall Flea Market on Saturday and to be honest I'm getting a little nervous about it all now. I hope my hard work is worth it and that people are nice to me! Mr Crown and Glory is going to be keeping me company so if you come along and see a big Welsh guy manning the stall I've probably popped out for coffee!

I've been fantasizing about this playsuit since I saw it on my blogroll this week. I love the combination of nude and black and think it looks pretty timeless, though it is very hot right now. I just worry about the playsuit part of this; I love the idea of them, but when I've attempt one in the past I've had a disastrous time with unsightly muffin top and the hideous camel toe due to my height. I think I'll wait until I go into Plymouth on Wednesday for an interview to try it on; I wonder how easy it would be to DIY into a dress if the above fears come true with this playsuit, too?

The necklace is from Tatty Devine and one of my favourites from the site. I'm very drawn to traditional goodluck charms in my jewellery; wishbones, horseshoes and clovers et al. My main reason for choosing this though is the price point; £27 for a piece of timeless Tatty Devine is a bargain in my opinion and is definitely on my Christmas Wishlist.

I've finished it off with a wedged boot and over-knee socks combo with look both comfy and chic. The finishing touch is the Andie Leaf Headband but this time in gold; told you I wear this a lot! It's a perfect finishing touch for a cosy autumnal outfit.

All dressed up with nowhere to go

I thought I'd show you a couple of my latest purchases. As my dear friend Sam clarified the other day, I've lost a bit of weight and dropped a dress size; I'm pretty happy about this seeing as all I've really stopped doing is drinking! The past six months, what with finishing uni and suchlike, turned into a total booze fest; I was going out at the very least once a week, often twice. Since moving back to Cornwall in August I've probably been out three times. So that's definitely helping! And the supermarket, greengrocers and post office are all in walking distance now so I'm walking a lot more. I don't weigh myself as I get really compulsive about it and just end up beating myself up everytime I put on a bit of period weight but my clothes are definitely a lot baggier and I'm back in a lot of the stuff from last winter. I'd like to drop another dress size to a 12 as that's my 'happy weight', which I'm sure will take a little more effort than the occasional walk but it's a start at least.

The dress is from Peacocks and I took advantage of their 20% off days on Friday. But full price it is still only £16 which is a total bargain. It's a lovely soft jersey and a nice length, too; it hits me just above my knee which makes it very flattering. The colours reminded me of a peacock feather which always gets a thumbs up in my book.

I couldn't resist this bird ring from Primark. Gaudy? Yes! Affordable? Yes! I'll take it! The sizing is a bit weird though, I got an L because I have man hands and can only just get it on my ring finger!

The necklaces are Tiffany and Topshop. The key was a gift from my parents for my Graduation but instead of buying the extortionate Tiffany chain I just bought a 20" sterling silver one from my local jewellers; a quarter of the price! Everyone comments on how delicate it is in real life.

The socks are also Topshop; I told you I have an addiction to swallows! I've also got them in cream; I love socks with ballet pumps when the winter starts to set in a little.

Last but not least is this silver Andie Headband. This is one of my favourite items from the site as it's just so easy to wear. Sometimes massive flowers and butterflies aren't appropriate so the leaf headband is perfect for when you want to add a more subtle touch of personality to an outfit.
