Outfit Ideas - One Crown, Three Ways

Perrie Little Mix Flower Crown
Purple Rain Crown, Crown and Glory - £12
Floral Bustier Top, Topshop - £34.99
Kitty Metallic Skater Skirt in Lilac, Missguided - £14.99

Who spied Little Mix's Perrie in our Purple Rain crown recently? She wore our creation with the exact pieces from the outfit above for their performance on ITV's Dancing on Ice. Mad props have got to go to the girls over at Little Mix Style, their dedication to tracking down the girls' outfits from their every experience is incredible! I'm pretty sure that would've been me if the internet had been around when I was a Spice Girls fan 15 (!) years ago.

Ways to Wear Floral Crown
Purple Rain Crown, Crown and Glory - £12
Grey Paisley Skull Print Skater Dress, Karma Clothing - £10.99
Belvedere Leather Jacket, All Saints - £258
Ryzea Ankle Stud Boots, Missguided - £38.99
Glitter Bow Clutch Bag, Alexandra King - £120

This look is brought to you by the scrumptious Paige - the little darling linked me to this dress recently with "I know you're partial to a few skulls!" And she's right, especially with my newfound love of bodycon midi dresses, this has gone straight in my wardrobe. The chunky boots and All Saints' leather add to the punk rock princess look that I seem to gravitate towards on nights' out with the girls (which I have 3 of planned for the next 2 months! Squee!)

How to Wear Flower Crown
Purple Rain Crown, Crown and Glory - £12
Long Sleeve Flippy Dress, Topshop Boutique - £75
Hackney Heeled Sandals, ASOS - £45

Despite not really wearing pink and the fact that this would look like a maternity smock on me, this dress made me audibly gasp when I spotted it on Topshop.com. Paired with the crown and these sorbet-hued sandals I like to call this look Chelsea flower girl. Cute and posh at the same time.

Bristol Bloggers Meet Up - #bbmeetup

What feels like absolutely forever ago (but was in fact, only 2 weeks!) I jumped on a train to hang out, eat, and shop with a bunch of the South West's finest fashion bloggers in the beautiful city of Bristol.

Now, fblogger I ain't, but I have worked with a fair few of the girls before so when I saw the invite start flying around on twitter, I tentatively asked if I may join. "You're on the list already!" exclaimed the Meetup's organisers, Steph and Kim which was seriously lovely of them. Despite my trepidations at meeting up with such a beautiful bunch, I booked my ticket with haste!

So what the hell does one wear to meet up with some of the most fashionable ladies around? After pretty much a whole weekend of deliberation I figured I'd feel most relaxed (I'm a bit of a shy type, truth told) in something I felt comfortable in - so opted for a very, very old favourite of mine - a silk, floral print dip hem tea dress from ASOS.

Paired with my Topshop biker, New Look studded loafers and Anenome Floral Crown to pick out the blues in the dress.

So off I trotted, meeting the lovely Megan on the train and Paige and Lily at the station. A very wet schlep to Cabot Circus and we met up with the rest of the girls (and one guy!) for a mandatory Nandos. I was positioned perfectly to have a good old gossip with my new BFF Steph, and catch up with old favourites Amy and Abby.

Some of us then headed over to a super cute bowling lane for a few cocktails and more gossips before Abby, Megan, Sammy and I had to catch the train home.

I can't believe how fast the day flew by! I regret not getting nearly enough time to chat to Gemma, Kimmy and Chloe, and a bunch of other lovelies I didn't get the chance to chat to at all: Hannah, Emma, Laura, Joe and Amie.

A really lovely point to the day, though, was how quickly and generously everyone donated to the goodie bags - aside from a scarf and belt from Room 31, everything had been deonated by the attendees themselves - here's a quick snap of my goodies. What mine doesn't include is the glitter hair bows that everyone got from me - I have more than enough already!

Featured!

An exciting day at Crown and Glory HQ today - our first 'name in print'! The very gorgeous Rosie from RosieGlow wears our Florence Floral Bandeau in her festival style-off outfit, and was kind enough to ensure we got a nice big mention - such a babe!

Guest Post - Kim from Sweet Monday

Hair bands, clips and ties are hair accessories that we wear every day, but a crown like this one is something a little bit special :) And if you're anything like me I have always lusted after the 'festival/boho/chic' flower headbands but never really know quite how to wear them, whether they'd suit me and whether I'd get the wear out of them? So here's my attempt to show the versatility of this head dress.

I absolutely love this Earth, Wind and Fire crown. The detailing is truly beautiful, Sophie is an exceptionally talented lady. I particularly love that fact that it is neutral colours and a simple design, making it versatile when styling. This is my first look, for a casual Summer's day. Teamed with floral print leggings and a plain top, the crown is allowed to shine in all it's glory (excuse the pun!). I would personally wear this ensemble for lunch with friends, or to laze around in the sunshine, maybe to have a picnic or go to the beach.

The second of my looks is a lot more dressy than the previous. The heels add a touch of rock chick to a otherwise girly outfit. This could be worn out for drinks or to a wedding, maybe the evening part! Otherwise without the heels the dress and head band would look beautiful for a wedding or christening, a lovely meal with friends or for a few drinks in the evening sun.
The colours in the crown match perfectly with my dress and the leopard print heels. I think this has to be one of my favourite outfits of late :)

The final look to my 'ways to wear' floral hair crown, I think will be the most popular look as it sums up the summery, festival, hippie vibe!
Tie dye is back massively this Spring/Summer and what better to pair it with than a floral head band. Exactly what I will be wearing to Global Gathering this year. Every festival I've ever been too I've seen lovely ladies wearing hippie tops, short shorts and beautiful head dresses and I've longed to be one of them. Finally maybe this year I'll get my chance with this gorgeous crown. All I want now is my hair to grow down to my bum and I'd fit in perfectly with the happy go lucky crowd! Hmm it'll grow in a few months right?! Sure!

I hope all of my outfits have helped anyone contemplating buying a hair piece from Crown and Glory this Summer.
