Bridal Babes - Sammy

Crown and Glory BridalCrown and Glory Bridal

When the beautiful Sammy got in touch requesting a custom order for her wedding, we knew we were in for a right treat. Sammy runs fashion blog My Lady Boudoir - focusing on edgy, playful fashion so we were pretty shocked when she requested a definite boho vibe to her crown! But by paring her gypsophila and blush pink rose crown with a gorgeously dramatic fishtail dress, Sammy has created a look that is very much her own.

Bridal Babes - Henbox

HenBox Hen Party Tote Bags
As wedding season fast approaches, so with it brings the national institute of the Great British Hen Party. Gone are the days of heading down your local with a few of your closest mates to send you off into married life the night before your wedding (really though, do you really want to be saying ‘I do’ with the faint, lingering taste of Jagerbombs?!) Hen dos and bridal showers are now often as big of an affair as the weddings themselves. I myself have been invited just this year to a long weekend in glitzy Marbella, a Harry Potter themed hen in London, a murder mystery evening in Bristol and a posh frocks & welly walk in Bath - all very different, meticulously organised affairs!

For some, the thought of phallic straws and fluffy L plates punctuating their last night as a single lady brings them out in a cold sweat - and that’s where HenBox comes in. Created in November 2012 when co-founder Sarah became engaged, her sister and business partner Rachael dutifully began planning the hen party and spent hours trawling the internet for classy decorations and accessories to send her sister off in style. When she just couldn’t find what she was looking for, the duo decided it was high time someone took the effort out of what can be an already stressful time, and with HenBox bring together hen party products from the hottest designers and suppliers around the world, housing them onto one website.

HenBox Hen Party Headbands

We’re probably a wee bit biased, but certainly not alone in thinking that once your hen-party theme and location is nailed, it’s time to start thinking about what you’re wearing on your head. “Hair accessories were at the top of our list of priorities and when we stumbled upon Crown and Glory one afternoon, we knew we had found exactly what we were looking for” says Sarah. Henbox currently stock a range of our animal ears in glitter and florals, and our Loverdose Glitter Heart headband which could even be worn on the big day itself. Not that you can’t wear glittery animal ears whenever you damn well please, of course - “Don’t tell anyone, but most days we can be found tapping away at our keyboards at HenBox HQ wearing our favourite bunny ears!”

HenBox Hen Party Bunting

HenBox doesn’t stop there. Covering hen night games, sashes and rosettes, super cute balloons and decorations for everything from your venue to your menu, you can even shop by theme to suit your bride-to-be; Boho, Pink Pop, Nautical and Gold Luxe. In the coming weeks, you’ll even be able to buy Hen Party Boxes which will contain everything you need to throw a beautiful memorable and most importantly fun, hen party. More time for champers gets the thumbs up in my book!

Bridal Babes - Clare

Bridal BabesBridal Babes

When Clare got in touch in January to request a custom piece for her early March wedding, I couldn't wait to hear more details - 'I'm getting married in a converted barn adorned in fairy lights with all our family and close friends 75 in total,' Claire told me. I love hearing details about our bride-to-be big days but the next piece of info definitely peaked my interest - 'My dress is from Fur Coat No Knickers after I saw it on Rock and Roll Bride! So exciting!!!'

Kat and I were lucky enough to borrow FCNK dresses for our collection shoot so I can hand on heart say I know just how excited Clare was - their frocks are so gorgeous and I felt amazing all day! As coincidence would have it, Clare had chosen the same dress I wore on the shoot, the Bellini, and so we knew straight away which piece to put with it; the Country Garden Fascinator in Wine with the addition of a black birdcage veil. Clare was undecided between two different headpiece styles but I think you'll agree that the 50s styling of this design really lends itself to the Bellini.
