In the Spotlight: Nikki Made

I hope you all had a fantabulous long-weekend full of pink shoulders, coconut sun screen, dripping ice creams and daisy chains! Last week (whilst I was supposed to be working...shh!) I spent a little time updating my Folksy shop, and my am I glad that I did! It created a flood of new orders and enquiries for which I'm always grateful...I'm not very good at relaxing! Another heart-warming moment included being picked for Folky Shop of the Day.

You can now find Crown and Glory on Etsy as well. We've already been featured in this lovely little Spotty Treasury; what an honour! Although both of these stores carry items from the main line, this will be where I will include one of a kind and custom orders in future. Something I feel quite strongly about is having a real identity to the brand (perhaps because I'm a control freak?!) and so I will continue to develop each store into its' own little ethos. That's the plan, anyway...and we all know the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.

Anyway, less about me and onto our showcase this week, re-discovered by our rekindling love of Folksy. Nikkimade has been on my radar for a little while, after her gorgeous Tunnock's tea-cake cushion was featured on Domestic Sluttery.

Since graduating from an Art and Design degree in 2008, Nikki McWilliams has developed her work into a gorgeously kitsch array of lifestyle goodies, all inspired by the best three things in life: tea, biscuits and kittens. I mean seriously, is there really anything better?

I for one can't wait to see what Nikki makes next.
