Bridal Babes - Katrina

It's nearly a whole year since Katrina made the most beautiful bohemian bride to her best friend, Roberto, but we think you'll agree her look is still utterly fabulous and current. Katrina always knew she wanted a relaxed, boho look for her day and achieved this with a gorgeous 1970's crochet maxi dress. Paired with her signatures wrist bands, a pair of wooden platform sandals and our Monarch Butterfly Clips in Rust she was good to go. Katrina's tip is to consider doing your own hair and makeup on the day - 'having something to focus on was really helpful with my nerves'

Nothing makes me smile more than when gorgeous Crown and Glory girls excitedly share their latest outfit snaps with me, exclaiming how their latest headpiece just made their outfit. So when one of our favourite customers Kylie got in touch with this wedding guest get up, we just knew you guys would love it too. Pretty and pastel without being fussy or bridesmaid-y, you can just imagine Kylie dancing til the early hours and not giving a hoot! Apparently the ASOS heels are seriously comfy which is always a plus. The dress is currently on sale at Miss Selfridge, too! All topped off with our Not a Lotta Rosie in Icecream, of course.

Get the Look - Gabrielle Aplin

Last night we had the pleasure of going to watch Gabrielle Aplin play in the beautiful surroundings of Falmouth Pavillion (but more on that another time)

Have you guys spied the pint sized pocket rocket in this months' Company Magazine for their Rising Stars music feature? Wearing our Whole Lotta rosie in Navy (that, fyi, Ms Aplin purchased herself, no less, as she 'wanted to support South West talent' - could she be anymore of a megababe?!)

Stay cool and casual like Gabrielle in this laid back look - our Whole Lotta Rosie does all the talking!

Get the Look: Olsens

One of my favourite sartorial catchphrases is 'WWMKAD?' (What Would Mary Kate and Ashely Do?) Love them or hate them, there's two people that totally rock the turban headband trend, and that's the Olsen Sisters. The trend began in 2007 can you believe, when Prada sent their models down the catwalks in head scarfs tied into turbans in a variety of luxe fabrics and colours. We've interpreted this ever-growing trend with (arguably more wearable!) turban headbands in a variety of crushed velvets.

Both in gorgeous monochrome outfits, the sisters show us how a turban headband is both wearable during the day and at night. Click the links below to get the Olsen's look today!

Call Me Ishmael...

The third of todays outfit posts is focused around these wonderfully kitsch Moby Dick tights. Nautical is traditionally a trend saved for Spring, but I thought I'd try and create a look more suitable for the chilly winter months.

Our key pieces here are of course the Moby Dick tights by Tights for Sore Eyes, in a bright baby blue. I've paired them with our new You Can't Beat the Blues Bobby Pin set. There are three combinations with these sets; two antiqued, filigree brass bobby pins are topped with either two bright blue rose cabochons, two smaller sky blue rose cabochons or a combination of both.

For me, the key to making a trend transition the seasons is to use a darker base pallette and keep the theme running with the accessories. I've included a number of different accessories in this look; you could easily mix and match!

For a while now I've been wanting to introduce you to this gorgeous necklace by our favourites, Wallpaper Rose Jewellery. Remi consists of a heavy brass compass, hung with freshwater pearl and heart charms on a thick antique brass chain. I've been informed by the lady herself that this product flies off the shelves every time she re-stocks!

Winter winds...

Our second look for today keeps in with our running theme of all things Autumnal this week. This peter pan collar dress is a favourite amongst the blogersphere and with good cause; it's flattering cut and on-trend block colour can be worn a multitude of ways.

My penchant for a bird print continues with these gorgeous mossy green version of the aforementioned Flocking Birds Tights by Tights for Sore Eyes.

We showed you the Iron and Wine Bobby Pin Set yesterday...if you were wondering where they may fit in your wardrobe, I'm sure you'll agree that this is an easy yet chic way to wear them!

Tights for Sore Eyes

I first came across Tights For Sore Eyes on a Folksy browse and fell in love at first sight! Their quirky, tongue in cheek, hand-printed hosiery is perfect for the autumn months. Run by cousins Danni and Nikki Mc Williams, with backgrounds in fashion and fine art, Tights for Sore Eyes were featured in the Lu Flux SS11 show at London Fashion Week this September; so you know you're in good company wearing these! Check out Tights for Sore Eyes via their Blog, facebook, and Twitter pages.

Keeping warm can sometimes get a little monotonous; decent knitwear doesn't come cheap, so if you're like me you'll tend to gravitate towards more basic, block colours to ensure you get maximum wear out of them. But how to add interest to an outfit? Accessories, of course!

I've put together a range of looks here featuring Tights for Sore Eyes hoisery and Crown and Glory hair accessories. I think these ranges work particularly well together, alongside the block colours, as there is enough spaces between the items for them each to hold their own.

Further looks will be posted throughout the day; which will be your favourite?

Get The Look

Like it or loathe it, there's no escaping the X Factor train at the moment. I am definitely in camp like I'm afraid; as with my taste in literature, there is nothing cultured about my taste in television either. And for that I will not apologise; there is nothing I like more on a Saturday night, cuddled up with Mr Crown and Glory with a curry and a big bag of Haribo...bliss!

Until they started the live shows and were put through horrific styling week-to-week, the girls this year are a fashionable lot. Gone are the days of girl-next-door Leona types; this year is all about a fierce individuality and a playful nod to the trends.

Dodgy Madonna dress-up from her first audition aside, my favourite sartorial choice from this years' X Factor has to be Katie Waissel, and mainly because she's rarely seen without a headscarf or set of beads draped across her forehead. Predictable? Probably, but this is why I'm in the hair dress-up game after all!

I've picked an image from judge's houses for this weeks' Get The Look. Quite conveniently it ties in nicely with the launch of our new winter designs; the Moonlight Constellation Collection. Items will be focused around the blues and silvers associated with winter, and will have a luxe approach with feathers and multi coloured Swarovskis in preparation for the upcoming party season.

Get The Look

I would love to be able to credit this image, but unfortunately I found it on weheartit.com. In the future I want to do a shoot like this with some of my pieces; I think the ethereal quality to the image and quirky styling would fit especially well with some of the floral pieces.

I'm letting you into a little secret of mine here with this installment of our new feature 'Get the Look'. Can you believe that these Vivienne Westwood frames are only £65? That because they're from an online discount retailer, glassescrafter.co.uk. Using discontinued or last seasons stock, it is a mecca website for designer frames at highstreet prices. I've bought my specs from here for a good few years now and have never been disappointed. It's a bit of a faff putting in your prescription but the time spent is definitely worth it. If, like me, you've worn face furniture since you were tiny, your frames are an important part of your sartorial decisions, and at these prices you can afford to buy a couple of pairs for different looks.
