Crown and Glory On The Road: A Most Curious Wedding Fair

Most Curious London 07.03.15 - Photo Roberta Matis -91

Earlier on this month, we packed up our sparkly suitcases and headed to the Old Truman Brewery in London for arguably the coolest wedding fair in the UK: A Most Curious Wedding Fair. Aimed at the style-savvy couple, a Most Curious showcases some of the most contemporary wedding suppliers around. Our unique, alternative bridal accessory range that we designed with Rock n Roll Bride was comfortably nestled alongside pretty like beautiful hen-do flair from Oh Squirrel (and not a phallic symbol in sight!), incredible floral displays from Vervain and a fresh and modern take on bridalwear from Velvet Johnstone, to name a few. Here's a peek at our stand for the weekend; and yes, we did leave a trail of confetti wherever we stepped.

Can I Borrow That?

I think at some point in their lives, every girl who doesn't have one, has always wondered what it would be like to have an older sister. Constant sleepovers, learning from their mistakes, having someone to plait your hair and most importantly, stealing their clothes all seems such fun to those of us that have a smelly boy as a sibling (sorry Bro)

In the age where almost everything can be performed by an app (did anyone hear on the Xtra Factor that Shirtswinger was playing with a clothes ironing app?! Really?!) the latter of the sisterly duties can now be performed by Pink Mothballs - the new, free, fashion-sharing app for iPhone – and for every girl who loves fashion. The brain child of 25 year old Amanda Baker, users of this app can upload their virtual wardrobes and swap their clothes with friends for nights out, dinner dates or even holidays.

Users can add items to their Pink Mothballs wardrobe by either taking a new photo or uploading one from Facebook. They then tag the item to specify its type, brand, colour and size, so friends can easily find something to wear using its refined search functionality.

This app, which is available to download now, gives girls a fresh and fun way to borrow and lend clothes with friends.

Going through my own wardrobe, I discovered more items than I thought that I'd be happy to lend to friends - I don't know about you girls, but there are a couple of things that I like to keep for special! But dresses, especially, seem to get an airing on a night out and then go back in my wardrobe for good.

If anyone wants to add me, search 'Sophie King' once you've downloaded your app - I'm dying to have a nose at your wardrobes!
