Ways to Wear with Ahoy Miss

Ok, it's official. we're so over winter dressing already. With the SS14 press days popping up all over Instagram this week, we're lusting over warmer climes and icecream at Crown and Glory HQ. Over to Danielle from Ahoy Miss for some spring-time pastel dreaming on this weeks' Ways to Wear...

'While most sensible people are bringing out their darker colors for autumn and winter, I can't seem to let go of my favorite pastels. The summery weather is still lingering in my neck of the woods anyway, so I'm just going to go with it. The Tea Rose Headband made me think of something out of a fairytale, so this outfit is something I'd wear to Disneyland. I can never have too many pretty mint dresses, and the two toned oxfords are just too perfect. I always have to sport a pair of interesting sunglasses. Of course this is a storybook ensemble, so a sweetly illustrated Bambi tote bag completes the look and provides room for my cameras. Just a little bit of pixie dust, and off I go!'

Ways to Wear with Miss WestEnd Girl

This weeks' Ways to Wear is by new-kid on the blogging block, our babe Lynsay at Miss West End Girl. We met Lyns at The Blogcademy in September and fell head over heels for her super sparkly, unapologetic style! Who better to style our Gala Bow than a self confessed sparklemonster?!

'When I look at the ombre sparkles on this Gala bow, it makes me think of the night sky, outer space and beyond! Wearing this beauty will make any girl feel like a cosmic babe, and I'd keep the theme going with a statement necklace from Tatty Devine's latest collection - this La Luna one is one of my favourites! Nothing says space explorer like a bit of silver, and this cute skater skirt is perfect for twirling around the solar system. I'd team it with this tee by These Folk - not only is the font in dreamy galaxy print, but it also has a quote from one of my favourite films. Bonus!
Printed tights are a staple in my wardrobe - I love these black reverse star print ones by Henry Holland and Pretty Polly.
Who doesn't love to sparkle from head to toe? These glittery Ultragirl flats by Melissa will look out of this world with the twinkling Gala bow (and are perfect to dancing to your own space-themed mixtape - Intergalactic by The Beastie Boys anyone?!). Finally, pointing out the constellations will be a whole lot sweeter in these galaxy print nail wraps by NCLA. '

This week we just had to enlist the queen of glitter, Emily from Fishee Designs, to see how she'd style our new Elbie Headband. Careful now, this post if going to give you a lot of skirt lust...

'I have always been a fan of glitter and sparkles and if I can add a bit of bling to my daily outfit, then I will and more often than not it's with one of my staple Crown and Glory bows. I think it must be the time of year, but over the last few weeks I have developed an out of control obsession with gold glitter in particular. My new favourite piece from Crown and Glory is the Elbie Crown headband, here is how I would wear it (if money wasn't an option and I could really own THAT gold skirt!!!)

Ways to Wear with Betty Pamper

This weeks' ways to wear is a slightly ghoulish affair with Betty Pamper's Perelandra Beadles!

'I love nothing better than an outfit with a theme and of all the seasonal celebrations Halloween is hand's down my favourite.
Despite being very British in a lot of my tastes and behaviours when it comes to Halloween I am like an American. Years of watching films like ET as a kid has definitely influenced me and for the whole month of October I will be revelling in all things spooky.
It's not enough to have a costume for one night I want to have daywear too and what better place to start than with these Glitter Cat ears with eyelash lace I’m a sucker for headbands with ears on and these beautiful glittery black ones are gorgeous.
I’m teaming them with my favourite recent purchase which is this fab Ghost jumper from New Look and as this is also something of a wish list these leggings with a mesh panel from Asos curve.
Nothing goes better with sparkly ears and a novelty jumper than big boots (a little bit of tough chic to balance out the sweetness) and these Miaow shoe boots from Irregular choice are purrfect'

Ways to Wear with Briar Rose

Obviously the gorgeous Megan from Briar Rose is no stanger to Crown and Glory - we just adore her beautiful pastel princess style. But how does our favourite sugar fairy adapt her look for autumn winter?

"Over spring and summer I tend to fall back on pastels and sugary colours, so I always find the transition into autumn and winter tricky. After wearing frothy pastel dresses and bright accessories for so long, burgundies, navy blues and greys rarely cut the mustard.

Thankfully, I love the metallic trend this season. For this outfit I chose some beautifully textured black pieces, and accented them with gold accessories. The headband is such a beautiful, statement piece that the other accessories didn't need to be too OTT - they just needed to provide that flash of gold to offset the black."

Ways to Wear with Hey Dickface

We just love Katia at Hey Dickface's super rad street style so knew she'd bring it when we asked her to style up her favourite Crown and Glory piece. "A look that I would wear day or night; floral dress and bag to match a dark floral crown and spiked jacket to go with the metallic shoes." Simple, effortless, achingly cool. Goddamn these Parisians and their kickass style!

This weeks' Ways to Wear is brought to you by the super sweet Lyzi from Being Little. Lyzi has concocted a bright and fun 60's inspired outfit, built around our Anemone Headband in Purple. Teamed with a turquoise daisy collar shift dress, super cosy cream tights and patent red geek shoes, Lyzi amps up the look from sickly to edgy with vampy burgundy lips and a clashing houndstooth cape coat. This look is so kooky, so Lyzi, we love it!

Ways to Wear with Stephanie Dreams

This week's Ways to Wear feature is brought to you by the gorgeous Stephanie Dreams. As a fellow tall girl, we love Steph's sense of style because she doesn't let her height scare her - just add some clompy boots and you're good to go!

Stephanie chose this outfit to meet the girls for some cocktails - she loves getting dressed up and looking pretty, but says her 'old age' has kicked in good and proper- "so after a few scrummy cocktails I am usually happy to head back to bed shortly after."

Stephanie keeps her look classic with these warm, autumnal colours in the cami and skirt, and has kept the outfit pretty simple, as she thinks the Lotta Rosie is a pretty big statement in itself.
"You'll usually find me in boots all year round, and when I spotted these I thought they'd look so cute with the skirt, adding to the cute but no effort feel of the outfit."
