June Highlights
1. Very pleased to announce another month of growth at Crown and Glory! Orders have been flying out the door for festivals, weddings and garden parties. June also saw us welcome Norway and Sweden into our 'World Domination' list for places we've shipped orders to.
2. We're very pleased to announce two lovely, coincidentally Scottish, new stockists for June! Jade at online emporium of cute Ginger Pickle ordered in a bunch of garlands and glitter and the girls at Zuri Boutique went for hearts and bows.
3. Our fave magazine ever (and not just 'cause they keep repping Crown and Glory!) featured our Cottontail Glitter Bunny Ears in their July edition - cue a flurry of orders to hop out the door! Including, and I just die thinking about this, some bunny ears in white for an Alice in Wonderland themed engagement shoot. I cannot WAIT to show you that one!
4. We joined the masses an upgraded to an iPhone - cue a gabillion photos of my cat Lola on Instagram. Follow us! Our username is @crownandglory_
5. We lent a whole pile of glitter to our friends at Sugarhill Boutique for their Christmas '12 shoot - see a sneak peek behind the scenes over at their blog!
6. The second drop our our Spring/Summer collection hit the stores, including bestselling Whole Lotta Rosie in Mint Green modelled here by the gorgeous Amy. One customer recently purchased this to go with this Zara dress for a wedding - damn you Crown and Glory girls have sure got style!
7. Our Woodland Copse crown in Rust featured in June 16th's Now! Magazine. Get yours at our SomethingIndie boutique
8. I took a trip to the West Midlands last with with the gorgeous Cassie from Cake Top Characters last week - somehow we managed to miss the biblical weather, arrive an hour early and not get lost like our last road trip. The rationale for our visit? School of Rock of course!
9. And I couldn't let the School of Rock get a mention on the blog without showing you the awesome clay cake topper Cassie made of Kat. Complete with a miniature of her Intergalactic Starlight Crown Cassie and I arrived to the Curradine Barns like two wise men with gifts from afar.

May Highlights
Three days in and I'm ready to accept that June is upon us. May went by in such a flash of exciting happenings, a week of being poorly, record sales on www.crownandgloryaccessories.co.uk that I've barely stopped to appreciate it all, so I thought I'd share a few of the highlights with you here.
Main Fashion Feature - Company Magazine June, June 2012
Undoubtedly you've already seen (and probably heard my excited squeals) but if not, May saw our first credited inclusion in one of our favourite magazines, Company! And boy did we hit their Main Fashion editorial, 'Make Mine a Sugar Cone' with a bang - not one, not two, but featured in FIVE of the final edit! Clockwise from top left you can see the Darling Buds of May aliceband and Frida Sunshine bandeau, Whole Lotta Rosie in lilac, Florence floral bandeau, Flutterby Baby Fascinator in lilac, and Whole Lotta Rosie in lilac again. To say I was overwhelmed with the coverage was an understatement - I keep picking it up and staring at 'Crown and Glory' in print nearly a month on. Your support and responses via twitter have been so gorgeous and thoughtful of you, too - shout-outs to lovelies @milkroses, @isthisreallife2
, @AislingNM, @little_magpie1, @Cranester, @Lilyfmason, @The_BriarRose and @Shalottlilly to name but a few. Taking the time out to congratulate essentially a stranger is hugely touching (and much more effort than many 'friends' bothered with!) so thankyou.
If you've not got the magazine, you can see scans of the full spread on our Facebook page.
As seen on Gemma Cairney
Another inclusion in June's Company magazine (it's a C&G takeover!) was this lovely little shot of Radio 1's Gemma Cairney in our Whole Lotta Rosie headband. Upon hearing she loved the piece, we sent her a big bundle of Crown and Glory and she kindly sent us a photo of her sporting her new Huge Glitter Hair Bow in Mermaid.
I love Gemma's sense of style, and she was actually on my list of celeb inspirations when I started 2012's marketing plan last year, so to have her wear my pieces from this chance opportunity feels really great!
Best month for www.crownandgloryaccessories.co.uk sales ever
Indeed due to the fantastic coverage we received this month pushed sales of our main site through the roof! Your favourites have been the Whole Lotta Rosie headbands in pink and lilac, Darling Buds of May alicebands and Medium Glitter Hair bows. Even after 2 years of Crown and Glory's existence (!) each and every sale still humbles me hugely, but a particularly honourable mention goes to a big bunch of goodies purchased by Kat from the coolest blog ever - Rock 'N Roll Bride.
Cassie has been on at me for roughly forever to offer to send Kat some pieces for review, but my somewhat hindering lack of self belief meant I kept putting it off - being rejected by someone you have huge admiration for always sucks, right? But I should've just bit the bullet as Kat tweeted me to say she'd bought a whole bunch of stuff after falling in love with the pieces in the Company editorial. I was giddy for days, and couldn't help but make her a custom 'Rock 'N Roll' glitter headband, modelled by the fetching Henry below.
Other awesomeness from May...

Amazing 'Congratulations!' gift from the gorgeous Cassie at Cake Top Characters, had a lovely couple of interviews this month with Megan from Seek my Scribbles and Louise from DailyOnline, me and Cassie at the #southwesttweetup hosted by Marry Me Somerset at the stunning Muddlesford Court
seeing your face in the local paper is a very strange thing, a big box of floral goodies off to their new home at S*uce Dubai, our Intergalactic Starlight crown featured in Dashing Magazine shot by the hugely talented Meg Hutchison
our favourite blogger feature this month - Megan from the Briar Rose wears our Woodland Copse crown in Rust, gorgeous shot by fashion photographer Emma Fletcher featuring our Whole Lotta Rosie headband, whole bunch of glitter bows ready for our stall at Crikey It's Vintage! this weekend
