Beauty Bites - French Pharmacie Must Haves

On a recent mini break to my parents place, I made it my mission to hit one of the infamous French pharmacies in search of trialing a bunch of renowned French skincare. I've mentioned before that I've been getting into skincare more this year and after reading reviews from bloggers like A Model Recommends, Amelia Liana and Caroline Hirons (aka, my new gurus) I knew I had to bring back more than just cheap plonk this time round. Here are some of the pieces I picked up:



La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo

Hailed to be the Holy Grail for spot and acne prone skin, this gel-like cream is akin to a serum and can be used morning and night if this suits your skin. I get a bit congested around my nose and chin at certain times of the month and if I've not been that hot on the exercise/eating well boat, and no word of a lie this made my whiteheads and clogged pores disappear overnight. The consistency goes on beautifully and sinks right into the skin. Probably not something for everyday use, but if you're having a bit of PMT this will sort you right out.



Bioderma Hydrabio Creme

I bought the Hydrabio after reading that it's a good winter moisturiser and despite it being slightly warmer again here in the UK, I think the reviewer is probably right. I have oily/combination skin but will be slapping this all over my dry bits for sure. I've used it a couple of nights running and have been super impressed with the rich and creamy formula that absorbs easily and don't leave my skin feeling greasy; result!



NUXE Huile Prodigieuse

My last find was the NUXE dry oil which I was super stoked for as I've been meaning to try a good face oil for a long time. Not only for face, this multi purpose oil can be used on hair and body, too. It was a very perfumed scent so that'll be to steer clear of if you have sensitive skin, but I popped this on under my serum one night and I woke up in the morning with my skin as soft as anything. I'm not so keen on it in my hair so far, but will persevere as it might be my new shampoo and conditioner too. This was well worth the €15 for the baby soft skin properties alone.

So far I'm super impressed with my mini French pharmacie haul, already getting genned up on what to pick up next time I'm over - have you shopped at a French pharmacie recently? Did I miss anything vital?
