our new look website

If you've perused our website in the past week or so, you'll have noticed that things are looking a little different around there! We've had a bit of a facelift at crownandglory.co.uk and are completely thrilled with the results.

We'd been seeking something sleeker, more mobile friendly and able to house our ever-expanding collections for a little while now, but hadn't quite found the right fit. Enter the Picklejuice theme from our website hosts Bigcartel and developer Greg Scharf to make or add-ons work together seamlessly and hey presto, our website is now something we're super proud to show off!

Alongside the new stream-lined aesthetics, we've got some exciting new features to share with you. First up, as our product lines expanded we were worried that some of our best-sellers and the items you were looking for were becoming a little lost. As well as switching out some of our now sold-out product lines, we've introduced some different ways for you to shop; by collection or by style, as well as reintroducing a search bar at the top of the site. Of course, you can still browse to your hearts content by clicking shop all; we wouldn't want to take away that procrastination feature from you!

When you click on the products now, you've got a super large image showing them in all their detail right off the foot; we're all visual people, it was time to attest to that! You've also got the option of social sharing direct from the product page, a feature we're super stoked about. Why not pin your favourites to a wish-list Pinterest board?

Updating our mobile version of the site was high on our list of priorities; it was becoming an embarrassment how glitchy it was to shop direct from your phone! Our new layout now automatically adjusts to sit better in your mobile or tablet device of your choice.

And last but not least, we've got seamless checkout, and now the ability for you to pay directly with your credit or debit card instead of through Paypal. We had this option available to us for a while, but would've had to disable accepting Paypal payments which we know is super important to a lot of our customers. We're so glad we waited it out, and are now able to accept both credit/debit card payments and payments via Paypal.
Seamless checkout enables us to collect vital information like shipping details direct into our store, and has in turn streamlined our order process systems, but that's a post for another day! For you guys, this means a more succinct way to ensure your shipping information is correct, without having to navigate your way through multitudes of addresses on your Paypal account.

It's all very well us shouting from the rooftops about this, but we would absolutely love to hear what you think about our new-look site! If you have any comments or suggestions we would more than welcome them. There are a few more small changes coming over the next couple of weeks, so while we're in development mode we'd really appreciate your input. Take a browse through our new-look site and let us know your thoughts.
