Beauty Buzz - Chanel SS14

I guess asking whether or not we like glitter makeup here at Crown and Glory is a little like asking questions about bears and woods - but no beauty look has quite set our heart alight like this gorgeous glitter liner from Chanel SS14 Couture Show! We chatted to our go-to MUA Elbie van Eeden on how to achieve this look at home.

"You're aiming for a sprinkled feel here, so while using something like a glitter liner (try Urban Decay or Collection 2000) will give you a quick fix, the key to this look is to use a eye-safe clear gel like Too Faced Glitter Glue or Stargazer Glitter Fix Gel and then gradually build up different size glitter particles. I really rate Inglot cosmetics and Make Up Forever glitters but any will work as long as they are eye-safe!"

Load onto a small brush and carefully tap off under the eye. Build in layers to really perfect the look. Keep a tissue under the eye area to avoid fallout and do your eye makeup before your face to keep the line even cleaner. Finish with a really thick sweep of black eyeliner - Barry M Wink liner is like a felt pen and great for this look. Et voila! You'll look like you've been crying glitter for days. I can't wait to try this out!
