Last weekend saw the official start of wedding season here at Crown and Glory! We packed up our studio and set up shop at the Fabulous Wedding Festival. Hosted by My Fabulous Life's Becky Joiner in the beautiful grounds of Muddifords' Court Country House, Cullompton, the day had a genuine festival vibe - from the giant tipi's and big top that housed stalls, DIY areas and live music to the eclectic, carefully selected mix of suppliers, the attention to detail and even the rain!
This wedding fair differed so much from the stuffy, overtly sales driven events I've attended in the past - and drew the attention of our favourite kinds of brides - laid back, carefree and happy to express themselves.
A highlight from the days' events was the Frocks and Rocks catwalk - how cute do the little girls look in our giant bows in the video above?! Despite the catwalk flooding and the compere dropping our last minute, the 3 shows were fun, spontaneous and full of energy.
We loved meeting the girls from Bespoke Bride, Festival Brides and Bride Electric - who were all live blogging throughout the day, iPhones in one hand and a jam jar cocktail in the other - utter pros!
Well done Becky and the team at Fab Wed Fest - we can't wait to get grubby again with you next year!
Next weekend we're off to EWE2 - the Eclectic Wedding Extravangaza in Birmingham, with the Weird and Wonderful Wedding World Bristol just around the corner too! We hope to see you there?
